Indian-Origin Sabih Khan Appointed Apple’s Chief Operating Officer: All You Need to Know

Apple CEO Tim Cook has lauded Sabih Khan for reducing the company’s carbon footprint by over 60% and introducing advanced technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.

Sabih Khan, an Indian-American tech executive, has been named the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Apple Inc. Currently serving as the Vice President of Operations, Mr. Khan will succeed Jeff Williams later this month. He has been associated with Apple for nearly three decades and is regarded as a key figure in building its global supply chain.

CEO Tim Cook hailed Khan as a “brilliant strategist and one of the central architects of Apple’s supply chain.”

“Sabih leads with heart and values, and I know he will make an exceptional chief operating officer,” said Cook. “He helped ensure that Apple can be nimble in response to global challenges.”

Jeff Williams, Apple’s outgoing COO, will continue to support the company until his retirement later this year, overseeing the design team and the Apple Watch division.

Tim Cook has credited Khan with deploying innovative technologies and methods to improve Apple’s manufacturing systems and expand operations within the United States.
